The GE H201CI-1 is a component of the HYDRAN® 201i system from GE Vernova (formerly GE Grid Solutions). Specifically, it is a single-channel controller designed for use with the HYDRAN® 201Ti smart transmitter.

Function: The H201CI-1 controller receives signals from the H201Ti sensor, which is mounted on the transformer to monitor dissolved gases in the insulating oil. It provides communication, display and alarm functions based on sensor readings.

Compatibility: It is designed for connection to one HYDRAN 201Ti smart sensor.

Power: It has dual voltage input ranges of 90-132 VAC and 180-264 VAC.

Communication: It has a standard RS-232 local port for direct connection to a computer (or to a remote computer via modem).

Connection to the H201Ti sensor is via a 3000V optically isolated port with a maximum length of 1300 meters (4000 feet) using shielded twisted pair cable.

Includes a standard RS-485 connection port for up to 32 H201Ci-1 controllers (or H201Ci-C or H201Ci-4) in series. The maximum length of the RS-485 connection is also 1300 meters (4000 feet) using shielded twisted pair cable.

Application: Mainly used for online monitoring of transformers to detect fault conditions by analyzing dissolved gases in the oil. This allows for proactive maintenance to prevent potential failures.
