DEIF FAS-113DG Circuit Unit, Advanced Fire Alarm System Module

The FAS-113DG is an automatic generator synchronizer manufactured by DEIF. Its core function is to automatically synchronize the generator with the busbar (grid or another genset) to ensure that both are in agreement in terms of voltage, frequency and phase angle, and then automatically close the generator switch to enable grid connection. Compact and powerful, this synchronizer is suitable for a wide range of generator sets, including slow-reacting diesel engines and fast-reacting gas turbines.

Main Features

Automatic synchronization of generator to busbar: The FAS-113DG is able to automatically detect and compare the generator’s output parameters (voltage, frequency, phase angle) with those of the busbar. When the difference between these parameters is within the preset limits, it will send commands to automatically close the circuit breaker to realize smooth grid connection.

Circuit breaker switching time compensation: Considering that the circuit breaker itself takes a certain time to operate, the device is equipped with a switching time compensation function, which ensures that the switch is closed at the optimal time and avoids the impact of grid connection caused by time difference.

Voltage and Frequency Control: During the synchronization process, FAS-113DG can adjust the frequency and voltage of the generator to match with the busbar by controlling the governor of the prime mover (e.g. diesel engine or gas turbine) and the generator excitation system.

Versatile applicability: Its control pulse width can be set to adapt to different types of prime movers, whether it is a diesel generator with slow response speed or a gas turbine with fast response speed, it can be effectively controlled.

Status Indicators: The module panel is equipped with LED status indicators that clearly show the status of the synchronizer, such as synchronization in progress, type of control activated, and whether the synchronization signal is successful or not, for easy monitoring by the operator.
