The Bently Nevada 3701/55 is an ADAPT (ESD) emergency shutdown device manufactured by Bently Nevada (now part of Baker Hughes). The module with model number 323174-01 is the CPU processor module within the system and serves as its core component.

Unlike Bently Nevada’s traditional 3500 series vibration monitoring systems, the 3701/55 ADAPT ESD is an independent, highly reliable Safety Programmable Logic Controller (Safety PLC) specifically designed to provide overspeed protection and emergency shutdown functionality for rotating machinery. Multiple input/output support: The system can process various types of input signals, including speed input, 32 discrete inputs, and 12 analog inputs (4-20 mA), while also driving up to 12 independent trip relay outputs to control different devices and systems.
